Hello my name is Zeke. I am a freshman at LeTourneau and I am studying to be a Mechanical Engineer. I am from the Baltimore, Maryland/ Washington, D.C., area. When I first came to Texas I heard so many conflicting reports about what the weather would be like. I left Maryland last summer to make the trek to Texas when the weather had just hit its extreme temperature of 110F plus humidity! I was told Texas was hot and humid but it actually was not too bad. The weather in Texas always changes and has yet
to be consistent since I have been down here. With the temperatures going up and down and storms coming in and out so quickly it is always neat to see what God has in store for us. God controls the weather and He chooses what we will get each day. The day I left on my Spring Break mission trip snow fell on the campus. It was a surprise to many of us because who knew that Texas could get snow, and especially in MARCH!!! The snow covered most of the grass and roofs of the building around campus making the landscape look beautiful. We never know what God will send to show his beauty and also his power. On Saturday, March 29, hail fell in Longview and it seemed to many of
the
students that we got hit the worst on campus. Some of the biggest pieces of hail were the size of tennis balls, and many were the size of racquetballs or golf balls! Even though there was some damage to vehicles and building windows, God kept us all safe here and no one was hurt, that I know of. Sometimes we may not know why God sends certain weather but we can all know that God has everything in control. So, “weather” or not you live in Texas you can always know that God will take care of you and provide the best for you in His own will.
I am thinking about attenting Le Tourneau instead of University Of Phoeinix . Can some one talk more about the experience at LeTourneu

This is my attempt to explain the "LeTourneau Experience." Just so you know, Semeria, that's about as general a request as you could possibly make, so if you are looking for specifics, let us know. Here we go:
Don't expect this to be a school that you get lost in. By the end of your first or second year, you at least recognize everyone on campus by sight (except for those who are addicted to computer games and never leave their rooms).
The floor that you live on will become very important to you. This is particularly true for guys floors.
Expect your education to be a lot more practical and hands-on than at a large school. Because there are less students and you don't get lost in the crowd, you will be required to work hard and really gain experience. This is one of the key reasons that our job placement after graduation is so good.
When you aren't in class or working, most of your free time will be taken up by goofing off with your friends and then scrambling to get your homework done.
This is a Christian school, so there is expected chapel attendance, and some rules are in place that there won't be at a state school. However, Letu gives its students more freedom to make their own decisions than any other Christian college.
This is all coming from a current student's perspective. I've been here for two years so far. That should be enough to start with. If you have more questions, please reply!!
